Woodbine’s Mighty Heart

Woodbine Racetrack is a race track for thoroughbred horse racing in the Etobicoke area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We were contacted by Woodbine Entertainment Group’s team to illustrate twelve horses racing in the upcoming Breeders’ Stakes.

For a social media campaign, the team wished to feature a potential Triple Crown winner in the race with an amazing story. Mighty Heart, an underdog one-eyed horse, had won the Queen’s Plate and was now 2/3 of the way to the first Canadian Triple Crown in years. Therefor, we designed a promotional comic-book poster named Quest For The Crown, portraying Mighty Heart as the hero of the race track.
